Messaging Frameworks

Hi:

This is a theoretical question. I’m building a RoR site that I need 2
types of messaging for. They are, in priority order:

  1. A forum application that allows users to post and recieve posts like
    this newsgroup
  2. An internal mail application

Does RoR have anything pre-packaged to handle these?
