I was trying to get to the Capistrano manual on the rubyonrails site,
but the whole manuals part of that site seems to be down. Was down
yesterday when I tried, and still down today.
Any body know what’s up with that? Server just need to be restarted?
Anyway, meanwhile if anybody knows of a mirror for the Capistrano manual
or some other good “getting started” reference for that, I’d be much
obliged.
thanks,
jp
yeah, it’s a bit embarassing (for our community) that mportant sections
of
the main site are down so often. every other time i go to manual. or
api.

Or the wiki…or the trac…or…

Perhaps the community should step in and help. I’d be more than willing
to
provide a mirror.
Agreed; if I had the resources/time to help I would. I would be
willing to chip in to help fund a mirror, though.

i have a dedicated box with spare bandwidth - i’d host a mirror.

How is this different than http://www.railsmanual.org/ ? I don’t mean
to criticize, I’m just asking because I’d use it more often if there
were a reason to switch.
The API really isnt the problem; there are a lot of mirrors of that.
It’s just the other “stuff” that needs it.

A colleague has been working on http://www.railsapi.org/ as a
pet-project in his spare time.
That may be of interest to some of you.
