I have an aplicattion that send e-mails to invite new users, but because
the application is still in development, I need a small (and easy
configurable) mail server that works in windows. Can anyone help me?

I use freesmtp:
Freeware… zero configuration. The only drawback is that it has an ad
in half the screen
and doesn’t minimize to the system tray… no big deal though.

If you are going to deploy on a windows server you might also want to
take a look at the simple mail server that comes with IIS. I actually
just the mail server from IIS while using apache as the web server on
a 2003 box. Works fine for me.

I heartily recommend ArgoSoft’s Mail Server… there is a free version,
and an inexpensive professional version. They update the software often
to keep it current and the interface is very configurable and
“windows-like” (in a good way.)
