Looking to contribute to a Rails project

Hello! I started programming full time (50+ hrs a week) around 6 months ago, teaching myself the basics of computer science and software engineering. My main focus has been Ruby / Rails HTML and CSS. I also really enjoy working with databases. I am currently trying to get some experience working with commercial applications or open source projects. I have time to devote and am really looking to learn more! Does anyone know of any good open source Rails projects that I could contribute to? I am proficient with version control using Git / Github.

If anyone knows of any projects I could contribute to I would be much obliged!

Sourceforge is probably a good place to look.

Thanks! Ill look into that!

Redmine is a big OSS Ruby (Rails) project and constantly needs contributions. They still using SVN, but from some time GitHub mirror is also available.

OpenStreetMap also uses RoR as its open-source website. You can take a look here: GitHub - openstreetmap/openstreetmap-website: The Rails application that powers OpenStreetMap

Thanks! This is a great link for those looking to gain experience and help the ruby community at the same time.
