Looking for a job in Paris

Hello!

My name is Oleg A. (22, St. Petersburg, Russia). I’m a Ruby hacker,
who have fallen in love with une femme parisienne and wishes to spend
more time in Paris, than wherever else.

I have strong experience in different areas, mainly web-related.
Recently, I’ve developed and been maintaining vkadre.ru - Russia’s
largest video hosting.
I heavily participate in various open-source projects, which i’m
interested in and create my own. I’ve made Rails routing 6.4 times
faster, contributed documentation and tiny fixes to Io language; I
develop StrokeDB, EM-related libraries and many other useful ruby stuff
(mostly for personal use :-/).

Primarily, I’m interested in network-related programming and web user
interfaces. I still have a long way ahead learning new things, so I
appreciate any interesting and new opportunity for me.

Please drop me a line with any questions or suggestions in case you feel
I can help your company profit (sure, I can).

(Yes, I’m learning French, but it is not so good at the moment, sorry)

Oleg.

By the way, I’m in Paris till September, 12 (or till 17th, but i’m not
sure yet). So if one would like to meet in person, it is possible at any
day before my departure.

Also, it would be great to meet local Ruby ninjas to talk about
technologies, cultures etc. =)

My dad has been installing 4 GBs RAM into his iMac. Host was down for
an hour.

Also, I’ve changed tickets and will depart on September, 17. Until
then, I’m available for talks/beers/interviews nearly everyday.

maintenant oui

Many thanks to all guys, who have invited me to the interview during
past three weeks. I have found a wonderful team to work with and wish
to come back to Paris very soon.
That means, the subject is closed.

Thanks,
Oleg.

PS. Being in Paris I’ve been working on EMRPC opensource library
(“EventMachine RPC”), which is released with version 0.2.

Folks doing nontrivial networking apps in Ruby might find it very
useful.
