Hi,
I wanted to try connecting to a radio station and listening to it. Is
there a command for this? … such as usrp_fft.py (which is for other
use), etc?
I have 2rfx1800 and the 64mhz stock clock.
Thanks in advance,
Walter

Hi Walter,
you can use usrp_wfm.py, it is on the gnuradio examples. However you
must
worry about frequencies if you inted to listen comercial AM or FM
stations,

Thanks all for the answer! I believe though that I cannot listen to
radio stations because the daughterboards RFX 1800 range from 1.5GHz to
2.1GHz which is only for cell phones?
Hi,
There is an (older) article on listening to FM radio in Linux Journal
http://www.linuxjournal.com/article/7505
It’s good to understand how GNU Radio and the demod chain works, and
what the parameters of usrp_wfm.py do.
However, on the hardware side you need the TVRX or WBX board to tune to
the right frequencies.

That is correct, Walter.
Can I suggest that if you’re going to head down the path of Software
Defined Radio development that you get yourself a couple of
books to give you the necessary background in both radio and signal
processing?
o Any recent edition of the ARRL handbook has very good
introductory chapters on radio
o Handy set of references here:
