Not terribly scientific, but notable I think.
Our Hudson CI based build had a substantial improvement on 1.1.3:
6m 46s on JRuby 1.1.1
4m 31 secons on JRuby 1.1.3
The build does the following:
- svn co of source tree
- migrates db / installs Postgres FTS
- Runs 900+ rspecs with CI_REPORTER reporting
- Packages app via Warbler .9.9
- Deploys app to Tomcat
- Runs Smoke Tests
- Runs Story Runner tests
