I am using jRails no prototype.js. rails helper are working fine but
problem with the spinner.
Element.show(’#spinner’);", is not working.
It will be great is someone can help me.

Using jRails means your app now uses jQuery instead of
Prototype/Scriptaculous.
So you need to write your Javascript in jQuery style.
jQuery( ‘#spinner’ ).show(); should work.

That’s pure prototype… if you’re not using an actual rails helper
then do
$(’#spinner’).show()
