[JOBS] Remote Mid to Junior Role - reinteractive - Rails & Systems Operations

Hi All

reinteractive are an Australian company expanding globally through our
Sentinel
Operations as a Service platform
https://reinteractive.net/service/sentinel and are looking to hire
two
to three junior to mid Rails Operations staff from around the world.
These
new team members should be located in Time Zones between UTC-9 and
UTC+2.

Our Sentinel product delivers Operations as a Service. We provide top
to
bottom support to ensure that our client’s Ruby on Rails applications
stay
online and functioning at all times. This requires we keep their
systems
up to date and patched, sitting right at the forefront of security
alerts
and issues that need to be fixed before our client’s systems get
compromised.

You’ll work daily on best practices to keep our client’s systems
operational and working. This could include upgrading rails versions,
writing a new feature or fixing a bug in their application and
responding
to downtimes and alerts as needed. You must have a real desire to keep
applications perfectly maintained.

This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who has some Rails experience
and wants to become part of a strong Operations focused team.

The successful applicant will have:
Flawless spoken and written English
Solid working knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu)
Good working knowledge of Ruby (6-12 months)
Working knowledge of SQL and databases
Able to adapt and learn rapidly
Able to follow set policy and procedure
High motivation to help and support our customers
Bonus Points for:
Experience with monitoring or alerting systems
Has upgraded rails applications in the past
Has done operating system package upgrades
Good understanding of networking and security
Familiarity with AWS and how it works
Has contributed to Open Source
Interested applicants should email [email protected] with their
cover
letter and resume. Applicants who have not read this post and are
outside
the required time zones, will not be considered.

Thank you very much and good luck!
