Our Naperville, IL based startup is creating a new social networking
platform that businesses will be able to use to better brand and
market their business to their customers and their community. The
system has been built using Ruby on Rails and is very close to
completion. I have been working with two remote Rails programmers,
but am in need of a company or small team of Rails developers that can
help me finish the product and support its future development, as our
two current programmers cannot support our future development and may
not be able to finish our Phase-1 systems.
I would also be interested in working with just one, highly skilled
Rails developer that can review our code, prepare a needs assessment,
and manage an outsourced team of programmers that can write the
remaining code and perform the final functions of our Phase-1
system.
I have already invested significant time and money into our systems
and would like to find a company, or skilled Developer, that we can
partner with and offer ownership of our systems and company, in lieu
of significant up-front payment.
Qualifications:
Required Skills
- Significant experience with RoR projects/web development
- Experience with agile/scrum development processes
- Have lead development teams before
- Ability to work in a small, geographically-distributed team using
collaboration tools (Skype, IM, email, mingle) - Must be detail-oriented and thorough in designing, coding and
testing - Must be able to provide and explain code samples of previous work
- Familiarity with subversion
- Workday overlap with Central time zone

- Experience with consuming and exposing SOAP/rest services
- Worked with service orientated architectures
- Worked with EC2/S3
- Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems
