Description
We are looking for passionate Ruby on Rails engineers interested in
working for a leading provider of funding portal platform technology to
the private securities and crowdfunding space. The engineer will
participate in all phases of the software development cycle: from
product definition and design through implementation, debugging, and
testing. You will work collaboratively with other engineers and must be
willing to take on any technical tasks that contribute to the goals of
the team and the company.
Qualifications
Skills Required:
Talented Developer
Ruby / Rails or Grails
Experience with modern front end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
JavaScript Frameworks (jQuery)
MySQL / Strong SQL skills
Requirements:
Strong knowledge and expert in front-end development with Javascript,
JQuery, CSS, and HTML.
Big data technologies experience a nice to have.
Experience with agile development techniques including test-driven
development with Rspec and Cucumber.
You thrive on creating elegant, efficient code yet have a strong passion
for product design.
You have experience working on high traffic transaction websites.
You understand the need to cache and how to optimise your code.
Testing is part of your ethos. You write tests before you code and you
are as passionate about writing good tests as you are about writing good
code.
DevOps understanding. Continuous delivery tools (Capistrano,
Puppet/Chef) (Nice to have).
