Lead RoR Developer
We are seeking a talented creative engineer to lead a small team to
design, develop and maintain a web portal to support our social media
platform. As a lead you will determine development resources and
requirements in order to build, maintain and enhance high-quality
online applications.
Experience we are looking for:
3+ years experience in software programming and engineering
2+ years hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails
3+ years experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Experience with interfacing with RESTful web services
Experience with leading a small group of engineers, and interfacing
with business partners.
Experience in commercial development of robust and scalable web sites
Experience with MVC technologies like SpringMVC or Struts
Experience with Servlet containers like Tomcat, JBoss, or Jetty
Experience using OO design principles and design patterns in
developing server systems.
Committed to unit and/or functional testing with working knowledge of
JUnit and other testing frameworks
Familiar with cross-browser compatibility and web standards
2+ years writing SQL stored procedures, a plus
Experience working with SMS and PSMS aggregators a strong plus
Mobile (J2ME, Brew, etc.) experience a plus
Detail focused and well organized
Ability to work within an agile development environment
Highly motivated, flexible, self-directed. Able to manage multiple
projects.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently, make
appropriate decisions and seek input when needed
