OVERVIEW OF QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of IT experience in software development
- At least 2 years of experience developing applications with Ruby on
Rails (experience must be recent!) - Rails development for more than one customer
- Experience working in a full systems development life cycle
projects - Demonstrated experience working independently to deliver web
applications - Ability to drive solutions to problems by identifying and
evaluating
alternatives - Excellent communication skills
Preferred:
- Ability to set up, configure, and deploy Java applications.
- Experience working in a Red Hat Linux environment (preferably RHEL

- Training or certifications in Hadoop is a plus
- Strong data analysis skills
- Strong SQL skills
- Knowledge of big data technologies, including Hadoop and NoSQL
databases - Working knowledge of jQuery, HTML and CSS
- Strong JavaScript background
- Experience with Python
