web developer to join our existing small development team.

We’re making progress in integrating RoR into our existing PHP setup
(already a couple of aspect of the backend system are pure Rails) with
a view to move as much code over to Rails as we can and use Rails for
future greenfield development.

This is OT, but I’m curious. Is ~$50k USD normal in the UK for this
type of position. Seems low to me.

US programmers get paid far more than UK ones. I now live in the US…
