California Partners for Advanced Transit and Highways to support
research on mobile wireless communication, advanced safety and control
systems, traffic modeling and simulation, transit planning, and
cognitive modeling of human driver behavior. Tasks include development
of software for wireless network protocols, traffic signal control,

vehicle simulation, and 3D visualization. We’re looking for people with
a science/engineering background, solid C programming experience, and
skills in some of these areas:

C++, Ruby, simulation, real-time and embedded Linux/QNX, device drivers,
OpenGL, MATLAB.

If you’re interested, contact me off-list or look for #004681 on
http://jobs.berkeley.edu, which is the official announcement. (The
announcement doesn’t explicitly call for ruby experience, but we would
find good uses for any ruby skills, especially in the simulation,
modeling, and analysis tasks.) Our web site is http://path.berkeley.edu.
