Helium is looking for hard-working, bright, driven individuals with
consumer internet experience to join our team.
Helium Exchange is seeking a strong, self-motivated, intermediate web
software developer to help build our next generation application using
Ruby on Rails technology.
Our ideal candidate will have spent the past few years in a team
environment building web based applications using PHP, Python, or
Java/JSP. Experience with connecting an application to a MySQL or
Postgres database is a must. You donâ??t have to be a DBA, but you should
know the basics.
â?¢ Bachelorâ??s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
â?¢ Must have 2 â?? 3 years building web applications in a professional
environment.
â?¢ Strong communications skills.
â?¢ Ability to work independently while cooperating with the overall team.
â?¢ Ruby on Rails experience would be great, although not required.
â?¢ Strong technical skills with scripting languages such as PHP, ASP, and
Python.
â?¢ Java/OO experience a plus.
â?¢ Should be familiar with, and comfortable, writing dynamic applications
using a database backend.
â?¢ Familiarity with MySQL and Postgres.
