I Learned ruby recently.I do know also Nokogiri,selenium-webdriver. In
my recent project I did create some automation scripts. I am from India.
I searched pure ruby based projects here in my country. Not found.I am
having 3+ years of IT experience( 2 years I worked as back-end developer
on Oracle platform and rest I am working in a project,where some
automation script I wrote).
What more I need to learn to get a pure Ruby jobs ? I want to work in
Ruby development project,as I am interested to this language.
I think your approach is wrong. You need to see yourself as a programmer
/ IT professional first, and a Rubyist second.
Relying on a single language is not a good idea, you need to have a firm
knowledge of the underlying principles, and choose the right language
for the job.
Pure Ruby is, as you have discovered, not very common. This will be
partly because Ruby is mostly used with Rails, and partly because
companies tend to focus on the end product, not the language used. A
well organised project should be able to migrate to different languages,
not be tied to a single language.
