Is there a way to send chat message via AOL AIM (with ruby of course!)

poking around, there seem to be numerous walking dead projects, anyone
have any first hand experience before I go down this path?

I have seen people use swig to wrap the pidgin libs.

I played around with it. Pretty cool, just don’t have a use for it.

The net-toc library is excellent for AIM. My books shows you how to
use it (see my sig) but there’s some info on the web I think, too.
