Is there a Ruby job without Ruby on Rails?

Hello, I am a fresher.
I like the Ruby programming language very much, try to solve everything with Ruby. But I have no idea about Ruby on Rails and web development.

When it comes to jobs, I never saw a single Ruby job without Ruby on Rails.
Just a thought, is there really any job for the Ruby programmers?

When you consider the bulk of programming jobs are web related, its not unusual that most/all Ruby jobs are centered around its web frameworks.

Please remember that languages like Ruby, Perl, Python are limited in their practical application and please don’t interpret limited as a criticism. All languages are limited by their design decisions.
