Is "Pro Active Record: Databases with Ruby and Rails " still useable?

I was thinking of buying the above mentioned book, but since it’s from
2007, I thought it would be wiser to ask here if I can still make use of
the things in it, or are they too outdated?

You should still be able to get some use out of it I would think.
However,
you need to be aware that a lot has changed in the last 4 years. Look
close
at the Table of Contents and the reviews and judge from there if you
can’t
find a store that has a copy for you to look at.

If you are interested in syntax Rails 3 changed a lot of things… not
sure
what is out there but you may want to ideally look for something which
has
been written with Rails 3 in mind.
