Image Control Javascript as in dpreview.com

Anyone knows of a Rails Plugin or Javascript that would easily place an
image control box around an image? Please look here:

Look for an image with image control. If you click on the image, it will
show in full width. Otherwise you can scroll along its width.

Thanks for the reply. I rather like the feature on dpreview.com because
it’s non modal – and would not interfere with the rest of the site. I
was hoping there could be a non-modal method of achieving the same thing
I am looking for.

When lightbox is up, it blocks the rest of the site :frowning:
