Wich is the best way to update Gallery Extension? I can simply download
a newer version and re-launch migration?
Is it better deleting extension dir before?
If you took it via darcs you can just update it via darcs pull.

After pulling with darcs run the install task:
rake radiant:extensions:gallery:install
It run the migration and move the public file as well…
