I know this is a noob question, but one of our clients has a SQL server
set up. I am so used to just SSH’ing in and managing the db via command
line. I know that I could manage the DB through Microsoft Access, but
I’m on a mac. Is there a program similar to this for macs? Or what is
the standard way for managing a database on a SQL server wit a mac?
Thanks for the help.
I would go get microsoft’s remote desktop
http://www.microsoft.com/mac/otherproducts/otherproducts.aspx?
pid=remotedesktopclient
you can than log into the server and use Enterprise manager to manage
the sql server instance.
This is the only way I have found to manage windows machines from my
mac.

I tend to connect with Remote Desktop Connection to the server and
use the MS SQL Server tools that are installed there. Dunno how
standard that is.
