How to create my own engine from a rails 2.3.8 application?

I am new to rails and i am using the rails 2.3.8 ,

i want to combine 2 apps and use them by combining .

I want do this by using Engine,so i need to convert my 2 applications in

to engines and want to share them .

My requirement is to convert an rails 2.3.8 application in to an engine.

It is the urgent requirement for me .
