RubyConf 2026’s discriminatory/mean organizers and all the benefactors who benefit from them treating people differently depending on whether they’re in the in-group or out-group have turned the Ruby community from great to garbage. One can’t judge a community by the people who are happy with it, yet by checking in with everyone as an equal member of the community. If there are problems being ignored by a community, then that could mean the community is built completely on discrimination and exploiting second class citizens to benefit the “elites” at the top and making them “happy”. So, when new people enter the community, they might love it only because they don’t realize they’re in the “in-group” at everyone else’s expense.
