Looks like, sometime in February, posts started to go missing from the
google group mirror. I thought it was a larger issue with ruby-talk,
recalling some recent mention of the same issue with ruby-forum, and
assumed it would probably get fixed on that end. But that hasn’t
happened, and after looking things over at ruby-forum, it seems to be
working fine.
So something is clearly going wrong with the google group <-> ruby-talk
bridge. I haven’t been able to isolate a specific pattern yet, but one
thing I have noticed is that ruby-forum posts don’t appear to show up on
the google group at all.
Does anyone have any knowledge about what might be wrong?

I’m subscribed to about twenty Google groups by email & they all to some
extent, show signs of functioning incorrectly (the Heroku list springs
to mind particularly).
No shows, batch arrivals of a week’s worth of postings arriving on the
last day of said week, the list continues.
As far as I’m aware, anybody who has tried to contact Google to rectify
any problems has had no luck & the days of old of list moms has long
since passed.

I can understand that. I’ve been using gmail since it first came out, so
that never bothered me.
Ruby Forum is a pretty good alternative to the google group, or gmane.
