Hello!
I have only recently started to work with software defined radios using
GnuRadio+UHD so i would appreciate all useful information!Also up to
this point i haven’t used Linux before.
1.First question deals with the different versions of gnu-radio and
UHD.After some struggle i managed to install all components and packages
on Linux Ubuntu 11.04-11.10.The dependencies were installed from:
http://gnuradio.org/redmine/projects/gnuradio/wiki/UbuntuInstall
and GnuRadio+UHD was installed from:
http://ettus-apps.sourcerepo.com/redmine/ettus/projects/uhd/wiki/GNURadio_Linux
with release/bug-fixes.
I have noticed that there is allot of versions and ways to install
everything, which makes it difficult to choose the right version. So my
question is if i really installed the latest stable version using the
above links.It would also help if someone could explain the difference
of the various installation paths.Also is there a way to update
GnuRadio+UHD and Gnu Radio Companion without reinstalling?
Currently i am running
GNU C++ version 4.5.2; Boost_104200;
UHD_003.004.000-release
GNU Radio Companion v3.5.2.1-83-g1aecf5
2.Before the above installation i had an older version installed without
UHD.I have noticed that some blocks are missing or have been replaced in
Gnu Radio Companion. Have some blocks been deleted in the stable
version?
Also when i plot a graph, the autoscale is not working as in the old
version? Some other useful parameters in the graph are also not present
or don’t have any effect when pressing them.
