GNU radio installation and USRP

Hello all,

I am new to GNU radio software. I have used step by step instructions
given in:

to install gnu radio with cygwin.

  1.   What basic check can I do to ensure that gnu radio has been

installed correctly?

  1.   Do I mandatorily need to install USRP drivers if I don't use

USRP
hardware?
