Has anyone successfully used the Import feature of the Gallery
Extension?
I just installed the newest version of the extension, and when I
tried to import a folder of 4 images (about 1.5 MB each), the import
page stalled for 30 minutes showing the first image importing. I
closed the page and returned to the Gallery Edit view, and that first
image was in the gallery, but none of the others.
Just curious if this is a bug or if I missed something?
I am looking to import some 250 pages into Radiant for a client, but
need to be able to back date their old blog articles. Does anyone
have any suggestions on how best to do that? Besides going in via SQL?
Also, what is the best approach for having a blog that is category
based? Do I need to set up a separate blog for each category and
then a master page that pulls update from each category? That seems
like a pain. IS their a nested approach that would work? Like
Parent: Blog
Child: Category 1
Child: Category 2
?

Mark,
I needed to do a similar thing for my blog (except it was forward
dating) and couldn’t find a solution. I’ve got it working, just need
to tweak a couple of things re finding articles and presenting the
published date but it should work for you too. I’ll hopefully post it
as an extension for you today.
Would I be right in assuming that this extension that you mentioned will
be in your “blog pack” when you discuss it?
I’m migrating my site at www.onghu.com/te from being static HTML to
being ‘Powered by Radiant’ - since the original site is a number of
technical articles released on different dates, your extension would be
useful in setting the dates. My other option is to go through the DB
changing the dates myself or writing a Ruby script for it.
