[FYI| Pure Java Nokogiri 1.5.0.beta.2

Hi,

Pure Java Nokogiri 1.5.0.beta.2 has been released. If you want to use,
install Nokogiri with --pre option:

gem install nokogiri --pre

Since Nokogiri 1.5.0 doesn’t have ffi support, pure Java version will
start running on JRuby.
Please see,

Very nice! I saw in the linked page it’s down to 1F/1E, which is
amazing. We definitely need more people to try it out so we can get
bug reports before any final 1.0 release.

If you’re using Nokogiri now in any application, please give your test
suites a try with the 1.5.0.beta2 version installed and let us know
what happens.

Have you run numbers on it (memory, cpu, wall clock) versus ffi
version or is your parsing needs modest enough where perf does not
matter? I can certainly understand wanting an all-Java soln over
callouts via ffi as a good reason for using it of course.

We are using Nokigiri 1.5 beta 2.
No problems to report here.

We use it in 4-5 different components.
