Flickr API and Ruby Question

I have a local version of the flickr.rb file installed and working
properly, but apparently I’m having issues installing it on my Dreamhost
server.

So, does anyone know how to do it the normal way? Just interfacing
directly with the flickr/api without using the gem ‘flickr.rb’?

Any tips in the right direction would help me tremendously! Thanks!

Actually, that’s what I did. The problem is, I can only get it working
locally, because I am unable to install the flickr.rb gem on my server
on-line.

I was wanting to just try and do it the old fashioned way, without using
a pre-built flickr.rb library.

Thanks, though!

Throw it in RAILS_ROOT/lib, then “require ‘flickr’” in
environment.rb.

Note that if you want to get to anything other than public
photos, you’ll need to use something that understands Flickr’s
new authentication scheme, like rflickr.
