End of Google Group

Ruby

I will probably be shutting down the ruby-talk Google Group mirror,
since it hasn’t worked right for nearly two months and no one seems to
have any idea why it stopped working.

One thing I have noticed that concerns me on Google’s end of things is
that the Groups menu item no longer shows-up in the iGoogle menus.
That makes me wonder if google is about to announce the end of Google
Groups
altogether --but I am just surmising.

If anyone would like to take over the ruby-talk-google group, let me
know.

Sure. What’s involved?

As far as maintenance goes, not much. Just moderate some spam from time
to time, and of course fix any issues that arise --such as the one the
group is suffering at the moment.

If you want to become an admin first you need a google account/gmail
address.
