I’m using edge rails. I get the sense that there are tons of new
features that I am not aware of. For example, “simply helpful” has been
rolled in to rails (I guess). But, how do you find out what it does? I
know I can format the documentation and point my browser to it and look
at it that way. That is great if I am looking for something specific
but as far as just cruising around looking for new things, I don’t find
it really handy. What do other’s do?
Also, I’m using emacs. It has “ri” built in but it uses the stock
documentation – stuff in the distribution and stuff in the gems. Has
anyone figured out a nice way to have it look at the documentation of
the rails project that you are currently working on?
Thanks for the help,
Perry
