I’m looking for someone who has hands-on experience with the deployment
of a large-scale Rails app, and who can act as a consultant for some
hours or days.
My personal experience extends to configuring servers to do what I want,
successfully deploying stable Rails apps to them via Capistrano, and
keeping everything happy and working in ahared-hosting, VPS, and
dedicated-server environments. But my “journeyman” knowledge and limited
experience may not be sufficient here.
The project in question is very database and memory intensive, with a
potentially huge tree of users. We want to plan our growth path.
Experience in server selection, setup, capistrano deployment,
benchmarking, splitting applications and databases across multiple
servers, performance monitoring, all that stuff. I want an expert with
real-world experience in these areas to cut through the fog.
