Deactivating Page_Attachments extension not working

Running 0.6.2 on gem with last week’s version of the Page_Attachments
extension. This is happening both locally on my Mac and live on a Sun
machine.

After I deactivate the Page_Attachments extension, the tan attachments
upload bar still appears on the Edit Page screen. Then, when I
re-activate it, there are now two upload bars on the Edit Page screen.
If I de-activate/re-activate it again, there will be three bars.

Any ideas as to what is going wrong?

Deactivation is a feature that is very lacking in page_attachments. I
apologize for this. Essentially, it does nothing right now, but
reactivating does the initialization again! So you’ll keep getting
attachments sections added to the edit page.

Hi Sean,
Hmmm, I have 3 upload bars at the moment, and although I surely must be
blind, I can’t figure out how to get rid of the two I don’t need.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks in advance,
Nancy

Nancy,

Wow, that was a really old message you replied to. What do you mean 3
upload bars? Also, what version of Radiant are you using and which
version of page_attachments did you install?

Sean

Nancy,

I would restart your app server to remove the problem. Deactivating
extensions from the interface has always been “sketchy” and has been
removed in trunk.

Sean

Hi Sean,
Wow! You’re fast! The three upload bars that I have are the result of
clicking the “update” button in the extensions tab just like David had
reported:

"After I deactivate the Page_Attachments extension, the tan
attachments upload bar still appears on the Edit Page screen. Then,
when I re-activate it, there are now two upload bars on the Edit
Page screen. If I de-activate/re-activate it again, there will be
three bars."

Unfortunately, I already had two when I went “archive fishing”, and then
before I replied I tested that I was looking at the same effect.

This Radiant is 0.6.4 (gem), and the page_attachments came from the svn
trunk
(http://dev.radiantcms.org/browser/trunk/extensions/page_attachments)

Thanks,
Nancy

Yep. Oh man, how embarrassing. I figgered it would turn out this way.
It’s always the one thing I forgot to think of that solves the
problem… Thanks a million, Sean
