Can anybody tell me how to do database connectivity in ruby on rails.

Poonam,

I think you should probably go view one of the many good tutorials on
Rails:

http://rubyonrails.org/docs

There is a section for tutorials. The tutorials will answer these
questions plus a lot you have not thought of asking yet. It will be
much better for you, you will progress 1,000 times faster.
