There are some plugins available for country selection.
- GitHub - rails/country_select: NOTICE: official repository moved to https://github.com/stefanpenner/country_select
For US cities you may use GitHub - mettadore/geoinfo: Geographic information ready to populate a Rails project database

I don’t think they provide country state and cities Does the

I think it’s fair to say the authority on such a list is
http://www.geonames.org

You can download the data from GeoNames

You’ll probably get more cities than you need.

Sorry, I have no plugin / tutorial at the moment.

You can see some of the database at http://clocklist.com
“Add your friend or contact”-> City (not with Internet Explorer)
