Connection refused

Hello everybody,

I have recently some problem with my nginx server and i need some help.

My platform is linux 2.6.32 - SLESS 11 SP1 (x86_64) (64Go RAM & 16
Cpu With Fusion IO Card )

Nginx server has two instances of “server”, a frontend (cache) and a
backend (fetches static files on another external server). On the
frontend server there are error logs like this:

2012/08/09 14:13:19 [error] 23794#0: *62532 connect() failed (111:
Connection refused) while connecting to upstream, client: 127.0.0.1,
server: localhost, request: “GET 444d58dfa1be-596d.jpg HTTP/1.0”,
upstream: “http://10.13.10.100:80/444d58dfa1be-596d.jpg”, host:
xxxx.com”, referrer: “http://xxxxxxxx/file.htm

I have 1700 requests per minute (including 150 requests with “111:
Connection refused”)

Anybody has idea about avoiding this or fixing it ?

Thx
