Comparing Datetime to datetime in mysql

i have a field in an mysql database that has a mysql date and time.

i would like to be able to get a date range and a time range is
possible…

say i just want to get the records that are january 14th from 4:00 to
18:00

2008-08-11 10:00:00 this is what the timestamps look like.

Try :conditions => [‘created_at BETWEEN ? AND ?’, time1, time2]
