Commenting / Blog gem or plugin?

Searching around if there is a good commenting / blog plugin or gem to
use in my app. Would rather use one than reinvent the wheel. Something
like where a user can comment on a specific item in my model and have
the display etc all built in.

Any recommendations?

I’ve never used anything like what you’re describing, but I believe
there’s a plugin called acts_as_commentable. You might also check out
Disqus, which is a hosted service that does similar things.
