i was looking at cake php. it is a rails look-a-like. and the language
looks like java. dang.
It’s not as a good as Rails and it’s written in PHP (Ew.).
I’ve used it peripherally on a few things and I wasn’t really
impressed. Maybe it’s because I’m too pampered by Ruby.

Actually, PHP looks more like Perl than Java. But why bother with it
when Ruby is so much of a better designed language?
(For the record, I don’t really share the distaste of many on this list
for PHP. Yeah, there’s a lot of bad PHP code out there, but you can use
the language well if you know how. I stick with Ruby because Ruby’s so
good, not because PHP’s particularly bad.)
