Contract Role Available in Boston, MA
• Length: 12/31/16 +
Description of Role:
• Collaborate with team on design and implementation of full-stack
feature development
• Participate in the continuing development of the technical
architecture, customer experience, & warehouse applications
• Work with product management to understand and validate user and
technical requirements
• Work with project management to establish development and release
schedules
• Participate in an agile/scrum software engineering process (SDLC)
• Design and consumption of Restful Web Services
• Implement and manage adaptors in a message driven architecture
• Interfacing with a variety of external services, databases, commercial
and eCommerce systems
• Implementing well-architected, well-documented, high-quality code at a
fast pace
• Close cross-functional collaboration with QA, other software teams and
departments
• Developing a clear understanding of the big picture and
customer/internal requirements
• Implemented several ecommerce applications in Ruby and a few others
in Java
• Scrum and Agile process, this will be a Senior Manager focusing in
the ecommerce and customer facing front-end, mostly Ruby****
• Will work with more junior engineers and other QA individuals for the
application
• They preform daily stand up meetings
• Needs someone experienced in Ruby!!! Java is just a nice to have
• Ruby on Rails is also a BIG plus
• Someone with architectural visions is also highly desired
• Not looking for a “heads-down coder”
• Someone who can help develop more junior staff members on the team
• Years of experience with Ruby: 4-6 years
• The database mostly use is MySQL
• Experience with databases is a plus, example: SQL
• They are trying to maturing the process and the architecture
• This person will help drive the improvements, they will also serve as
a MENTOR!
• Someone who has down consulting is good, they usually can hit the
grown running faster
• **Wants a local candidate!
• It is possible it could turn into a perm role, but for now its
contract
• Very small team, work closely together and collaborate a lot!
