Best practice to power up USRP

Hi all,

Since there is no power switch on the USRP itself, I would like to know
what the safest way to power on the device is? Is it best to leave the
DC plug inserted into the unit, and power on the unit by switching on
power to the switchmode supply? Or is it safe to remove and insert the
DC plug into the front of the unit as needed?
