Beginning a statistics application

Hi all,
I need to write an application that gets data from a database and plots
it on a graph.
I am familiar with java and know that I could do it with jfreechart -
however I am excited by RoR and would like to write the application with
RoR instead.
Is it possible to write it in RoR?

that would do it but the graphs it produces don’t look very formal.
I was hoping for something more scientific looking - MRgraph looks
better but incomplete.

Hi Chris

if using flash is an option for you, you may want to check out
maani.us (which makes it easy to plot data on a
graph

  • you’ll have to write the code to generate the input xml from your
    data).

did u got the functionality of ploting the data from database to graph
now i need to do the same thing
I.m using the sparklines gems to draw the graphs in views graphs but i
need to plot the data on to graphs
