Beagleboard.org was accepted as a mentoring organization for the Google
Summer of Code. Why does this list care?
As one of the possible mentors, I am interested in mentoring students
interested in improving gnuradio on the OMAP3. The specific idea we put
on the ideas page was to create a gnuradio block that uses the DSP, but
any reasonable idea (that is Beagle related) can be proposed.

Dear Sir,
Name : Adwait Gandhe
email : [email protected]
: [email protected]
I am an undergraduate student at BITS-Pilani, Goa Campus pursuing
Electrical and Electronics Engineering, currently in second year. I am
planning to participate in GSOC 2010 and am deeply interested in the
idea of improving the gnuradio on the OMAP3.
I am particularly interested in this project as I have done a lot of
work in related field so far.
-
Summer internship at International Institute of Information
Technology, Pune. Project work involved rigorous work in programming and
interfacing micro controllers to suit robotics and embedded
applications.
-
Currently undertaking courses namely :
Microprocessor Programming and Interfacing
Circuits and Signals
Computer Programming 1 and 2 (Completed)
-
I am comfortable in the unix environment and proficient in C/C++
coding
environment. I also have some exposure to embedded linux.
-
More importantly so far I have learned signal processing
theoretically and am
currently working to implement it on an embedded platform. I believe
that
I will be able to do justice to the project work, learn a lot of
interesting
things in the process and enjoy it.
I would therefore like to further interact and discuss with you the
above mentioned project.
Thanking You and waiting for a positive reply
Yours Sincerely
Adwait Gandhe.
