[ANN] Rails CHM Documentation - 1.1.6

Just a quick email to let those interested know that I’ve posted an
updated version of my CHM document that now has all the documentation
from the 1.1.6 release of Rails. You can read more about it here:
http://delynnberry.com/2006/10/16/rails-chm-documentation-version-1-1-6

I’m also planning on creating a pre-release version based on what is
currently available in Rails trunk. So if you’re currently using all
the cool new features in trunk and are tired of looking at source
code, keep you eyes out for that in the coming days.

Nice! I sometimes need docs offline. This also works fine on Mac OS
using chmox.

Nice! I sometimes need docs offline.

Glad to hear you have found it to be useful!

This also works fine on Mac OS using chmox.

The last time I looked at Chmox it didn’t have support for reading the
index of the file that I generate (which I’ve never been able to
figure out). It also doesn’t have support for searching the document
either.

If either of these features interest you, I suggest using Chamonix on
OS X:

Ah, yep, I hadn’t noticed. I actually think I’d prefer a PDF version –
possible (or already exists)?

Many thanks for this. Much appreciated.

Any chance of nifty help icon instead of the ugly one that Windows uses
by default?

Thanks,

Dan

I did a quick Google search, and there does appear to be some software
out there that’s able to convert CHM files to indexed PDF documents.
Maybe I’ll spend some time investingating them tomorrow and post the
results.
