[ANN] New Rails site... RightCart.com

#1

Hello Everyone !

Wanted to announce the launch of a new, 100%, Ruby/Rails based shopping
system.
http://www.rightcart.com (our blog: http://www.rightcartblog.com)

It’s basically a shopping widget that allows users to make purchases
directly through the widget… no need to be redirected to a third
party
shopping cart.
You can sell anything you want by upload the products onto the site, or,
we
already have over a million existing products to choose from.
So, you can blog about some cool new item (or old junk one taking up
space
in you home), and offer the sale of it right in context with your
article.

All of us at RightCart loooove Ruby and Rails, and wanted to thank you
all
for making this community unlike any other.
We are getting “dugg” at the moment (
http://digg.com/technology/Wow_Turn_any_web_page_into_a_store_in_minutes_-_RightCart),
and if you like the site/service, feel free to digg us too
Our friends at TextDrive are going to be helping us deploy to a nice new
grid container here in the next few days, so the site should start to
fly.

Feedback is more than appreciated, so would love to hear whatcha’ think.
Thanks !

Dylan

Nice work, cool UI…

Good to see some more RoR ecommerce stuff out there finally!

Cool, thanks Seth  Our designer (and founder) was sick of
re-designing
different clients shopping carts over and over again, so he wanted to
make
some sort of “universal” cart.
A local pizza delivery place is even going to throw it up on their site
to
handle online orders… and create different toppings as unique products
It will eventually be skinnable, so it could fit the look and feel of
the
publishers site.
I appreciate the feedback !

… and create different toppings as unique products

looks nice, but i dont see it on ehub,

promote yourself, foo!

That part bugged me too. My mum could have made that in RoR, its not the
combustion engine, why patent such?

Actually what part of the site is patent pending ? Rails, prototype,
one-click shopping ?

The word “delivery” is misspelled in the second sentence of the
Mailing Fees section of your terms page.

Thanks James

Ole… it’s important to Patent, probably because it would be harder for
Google or Amazon to come out with the “exact” same thing tomorrow and
put us
out of business

At least, you are patenting something you have built.
