AJAX-based Maps

Is there an AJAX-based Map implementation available in Rails (similar to
the one described in Pragmatic Ajax)? I am interested in providing my
own map with AJAX-interface similar to Google Maps. Please note that I
am not intersted in using Google’s maps.

Do you mean you want to maps yourself? What kind of maps? I’m not
familiar with pragmatic ajax.
