Acts_as_ferret and UTF-8

Hello

Does anybody know how to configure acts_as_ferret to use UTF-8.

All works fine with english , but when I use russian symbols in query
rails hangs.

I am using:

ferret - 0.11.4-=mswin32

Rails 1.2.3

mysql 5.0.27

and current version of acts_as_ferret from svn repository

Hi Art,

your current locale is the key factor. Which locale are you using on
your
system? Try a search on the term “locale” at
http://www.ruby-forum.com/search?query=locale&forums[]=5
