Activerecord-jdbc trouble persisting Oracle DATE columns

Yesterday I had run into a problem with :date attributes on Oracle/
activerecord-jdbc. I created this ticket:

http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/JRUBY-5003

I realize now that should have been created on
http://kenai.com/jira/browse/ACTIVERECORD_JDBC
but for the life of me I can’t get myself logged in there. I don’t
recall if I have an account. The ‘forgot password’ claims its emailed
me but I haven’t received anything(since last night) and the ‘sign up
now’ path just keeps redirecting me back to the login page with no
messages.

Anyway, just wanted to get it on the radar before activerecord-
jdbc-1.0 is released.

Thanks,
-lenny

Of course I received the password reset email immediately after
sending this. I’ve created
http://kenai.com/jira/browse/ACTIVERECORD_JDBC-127
and will note that on the JRUBY ticket.

Hi Lenny

We have been using Raimonds Simanovskis’s ‘oracle enhanced’ JDBC
adapter. It works pretty good and is well supported.

Have you looked at it?

Cheers,
